Within 15 minutes I was trying this out after arriving. The smell is normal of molded toys you would buy from any vendor, and with warm water and some mild soap it was gone. Mounted on the shower wall while dry this thing goes nowhere! It is soft on the end like the real thing and nice and firm in the middle. No fooling around with one flopping all around. Better than any of them I have tried and about $60.00 less. When I wear it out, I will replace it with the same one. Get one, you will not be sorry!
