This is my first vibrator, and I am definitely wondering why I have never bought one of these before! I am a very happy girl now. This vibrator very quiet - I live in a dorm (no roommate) and I can use it without worrying about being overheard. The only drawback is that, as stated in a few of the other reviews, it does eat through batteries really quickly. This isn't a concern for me, as I use rechargeables, but other people should be aware. Other than that, this is amazing! I definitely reccommend it, and I would even if the price were higher.
